Soft landscaping is the planting, turf and horticulture that makes an outdoor space feel looked after rather than merely maintained. Done well it lifts the appearance of a building, supports biodiversity targets and gives staff and visitors somewhere pleasant to be.
We work on both improvement projects and the ongoing care that keeps them looking as intended. That might be replanting tired borders at a business park, establishing new turf after building works, or introducing planting that needs less water and less intervention over time.
What we deliver
- Planting schemes, borders and seasonal bedding
- Turfing, seeding and lawn renovation
- Shrub, hedge and specimen planting
- Wildflower areas and pollinator planting
- Mulching, feeding and soil improvement
- Containers, planters and entrance displays
- Irrigation, including smart self-watering systems
Chosen to suit the site
Planting is specified for the aspect, the soil and the amount of attention it will realistically get. A scheme that looks striking for one season and then needs constant rescuing is not a good outcome for anybody, so we favour planting that establishes well and holds its appearance.
Where a client has sustainability commitments, soft landscaping is one of the easier places to make measurable progress, and we can plan the scheme with that in mind from the outset.
