Fixed Wire Testing relates to electrical services and systems that use electricity around your place of work and involves all the hard wiring in your building.
It also includes mains panels, lighting, socket outlets, distribution boards and air conditioning.
When you book a 5 year fixed wire testing inspection, one of our experienced team of trained engineers will visit your premises and conduct a full site-survey.
All our engineers are NICIEC approved so you have complete peace of mind that you’re using the very best.
This survey involves visual checks and electrical checks on every system that requires electricity in your building.
The engineer will take note of switchgear, control gear and the circuits they relate to.
You should already have up to date previous test information and circuit labelling which helps the engineer to be able to inspect everything thoroughly and read previous reports.
It’s important that this type of fixed wire testing and inspection only be carried out by trained engineers.
Once the testing is complete, our engineers will provide you with a full report within 24 hours.
This report is known as an Electrical Installation Condition Report which will detail any work carried out, any potential problems, dangers and test results.
If there is a dangerous situation in the wiring, our engineers will inform you and rectify the problem as quickly as possible.
We recommend that this type of Fixed Wire Testing be completed outside of working hours to minimise disruption to your business.
This is because electricity is disconnected during testing.

It is important to have your electrics tested because defects don’t usually arise until there is a problem. Proper testing can often highlight potential issues before they become a danger to your staff, customers and visitors.
Yes, it is a government requirement. Without one you put your people and building at risk of fire and shock.
As well as the increased hazard risk and liability you run the risk of not being insured for your building or contents.
We can carry out most of the testing without switching off all your power but we do need to switch off circuit by circuit. We can work around your schedules for your convenience and we can even work at weekends if that suits you.
Our team is readily available to cater for all your needs.
